At West Partners we focus on industries where we see a need for our capital and a long-term economic tailwind. Our long-term approach allows us to look beyond the typical 5-year holding period that most funds use in evaluating investments. This approach gives us the ability to make decisions not as renters, but as owners of an investment. Since our founding in 2007 we have established 3 investment themes that meet our long-term objectives.
Senior Housing
As our first investment theme, senior housing is our largest investment platform and one that we’re very excited about. The long-term need for quality senior housing properties in the Western U.S. is the perfect example of an economic tailwind. Whether through the development of new communities or through acquisition, West Living is dedicated to providing the best value in each of its markets.

Real Estate
We established our second investment theme in the financial turmoil of 2009 to acquire real estate properties under our long-term approach.

Infrastructure
Our newest investment theme is in the infrastructure sector where we look to build or acquire assets that provide essential services. With over 16,000 waste water treatment plants in the United States, most of which were built in the mid 20th century, there is a significant need for long-term private capital to design, build, operate and finance new waste water treatment plants.
